Soundproof Doors
Noise – always and everywhere. Noise can disrupt your concentration, make you ill. With Unterwaditzer’s soundproof doors, annoying noise can get neither out nor in. Years of experience help us to find weak points and block indirect ways of sound transmission.
Stress and strains caused by noise are a serious problem nowadays. Even low noise levels can disrupt your concentration and cause discomfort. Especially in the office, quiet surroundings enhance working conditions and secure discretion in confined spaces. With soundproof doors produced by Unterwaditzer Ltd., annoying noise can get neither out nor in.
There are special components suitable to soundproof rooms and ensure better living conditions (e.g. in case of noisy surroundings). Our soundproof wooden doors are good examples for such components and they can easily be integrated in every constructional concept.
The term soundproofing refers to the physical barrier which a soundproof door opposes to pervasive sound energy. The effectiveness of this barrier can be measured in decibel (dB).
In order to enhance the soundproofing of a partition structure which also contains door sets, it is necessary to find out which component has the lowest sound insulation value.
It is not advisable to increase the dB value of the door set if the wall construction itself has a lower sound insulation value. Therefore, it is essential to first single out the acoustically weakest part of the whole construction.
POSSIBLE WEAK POINTS OR INDIRECT WAYS OF SOUND TRANSMISSION:
-
-
- The parting line between door leaf and floor
- Improperly mounted frames
- The gap between a plasterboard wall and masonry
- Electric sockets and the like
